Wikis

I like the idea of wikis. The collaborative nature of wikis allows for easier accumulation of collective knowledge and easier sharing of that knowledge. It also allows people to assume ownership of a project or a document.

In the library setting it would work great for customers to recommend titles to Collection Development, but also to see what other people already suggested. Then they can also get updates whether the library decided to purchase the item or not (or they can get a tweet if they have a twitter account, or a text message on their cell phone).
