USA Open Techno Gadgets

This past Sunday (8/30/08) I got to go to USA Open (tennis, not golf). It was my first time watching it live after following it on TV for all of my life!


What does this have to do with technology you ask? Well, there was a bunch of people that had radio transmitters that hooked on one ear and they could listen to the live TV coverage of the matches. This came courtesy of American Express (this is not an endorsement). The American Express card members were also able to loan these mini TV screens, the size and shape of handheld play station. The TVs came with the strap so that people could hang them around their neck. They could watch on that mini TV any of the matches going on at the stadiums, and also listen to the coverage through the portable radio transmitters. The Amex members definitively stood out in the crowd with their techno gadgets all over them.
Talk about being in the know all the time!
